We all know that you can have the best looking website and be selling something that people are hungry for, but how to get traffic to that site can be a big problem to some marketers. So I have put together 5 simple strategies that you can use to day to generate more traffic to any website.

1. Blog Commenting

You can visit similar blogs within your niche and start adding value to the posts. What you do is leave your name and website in the appropriate fields and then if someone clicks on your name it will redirect them to your site. Now you can't just leave a comment "Great Post" or "Nice Blog". Elaborate on the post give experience and even critacise what the blog owner has to say. If you leave value you are more likely to get a visit to your site.

2. Article submission

Create a small article similar to this one telling people about certain subjects or problems they may be having. Link back to your site in the resource box or even anchor text within the body. You will have to check the TOS of the directory on the rules of what you can and can't do.

3. Create a Squidoo lens or Hub Page

This is very similar to article marketing but more flexible like your own blog. It is like having your own blog but for free.

4. Affiliate Programme

If you are selling products from your sites you can have an affiliate programme set up so other people "affiliates" can promote your product. There are many affiliate programmes out there you can use. The most popular would be Clickbank, there are new ones coming onto the market all the time. 5. Press Release

A promotion article about something that has happened within your company or is going to happen. New contract, expanding, new product. This can be done free or paid. Well when I mean free I mean your own time spent on it. You can submit them to various free press release sites or pay certain PR sites and they will distribute it for you.

There are many many different ways of how to get traffic to sites just stick with one at any time until the task is complete. Then move onto the next, and so on and so on. Also test and tweak.
