Most newbie website owners are having hard time getting traffic to site. It is natural, since increasing website traffic is what most website owners wanted to do. If you want to get ahead of everyone, you can increase your traffic by considering the following factors:
* Website usability - a website should have a good usability feature so that visitors will put effort in reading your page. Example of usability features are that the font color of the visited link will be changed after they visit it, good header and fast page opening.
* Optimize your website - do this through the keywords and key phrases. Make sure that your keywords and key phrases are reflected clearly in the page content that you created.
* Globals - these are links that stay unchanged on every webpage. These are the reference for every new visitor so that they can avoid getting lost in the navigation. Example of globals can be seen on the left side of the webpage, tabs at the top, footer and so on.
* Headers - you must know that most Internet users do not read content first, they do scanning before reading so you must use bold headers and it should address what they are searching for. With proper keywording and phrasing, you may attract many visitors if you provide them what they need when they scan.
* Site mapping - site map will help in easy navigation for the users. Your site map must have the links to every webpages you have. Make sure they are up-to-date.
* Website content - you must create your own content and do not copy from others, which is about 200 to 500 words of two to three pages. Make sure that the content will address what the visitors are looking for; originality is needed here so as usefulness. Make sure that many visitors will comeback for it.
