One of the first rules for keyword search is use more than one tool. Prosperous for us, Google's got a whole suite of tools around - and better yet - they are completely free!1. Keyword Synonyms
I quite honestly don't apply the Google Synonym Tool as much as I probably should, but it will generate you some great thoughts when you start your keyword research.
2. Google Insights and 3. Google Trends
Google Insights wish to give you a beneficial idea of what is common right now (including similar "hot" keywords and words); while Google Trends gives a better indicator of how a keyword performs over time (Google has information as far back for 2004).
3. Google Analytics
You did not realize your Analytics could give you insight to what people are looking for for?! Sure! Look no further than the keyword section. The bottom of the name will more than likely be easy with long tail searches. Maybe you could do a better business optimizing for those keywords, or maybe they will give you thoughts for even more keyword search.
Another great place to look for keyword aspiration in Analytics is within your internet site search keywords. What were people looking for that they could not find on their own? You may find a few opportunity there.
4. Search-based Keyword Tool
Google's Search-based Keyword Tool is based on AdWords bidding costs and competition, but you can get a great thought of search volume using them. It is important to think that these tool uses keywords in junction with existing internet site.
5. Google AdWords Keyword Tool
Up to now, Google's AdWords Keyword Tool has been one of my favourite search tools. Once again, based on AdWords competition, you will stimulate the added benefit of worldwide and local every month search volume statistics.6. (The New) AdWords Keyword Tool
I could not be more excited for this fresh addition to the keyword research toolbox from Google: the brand-new AdWords Keyword Tool. That much more robust, this tool adds together a fresh column: local search trends. Even in a few short days of using it, I have found out that, while you have to sort through the unsuitable keywords a bit more, you will get a ton of helpful equivalent word and related research terms.
7. Google Sets
I saw that Kasi Gajtkowski from Hall World Wide Web Services just put up a new blogpost about Google Sets - a new keyword search tool from Google. This tool will give you more loosely related (but still crucial) keywords related to the search conditions you enter. That way, you will truly be able to amplify your keyword search and get a few ideas you would never thought of!
8. Google SuggestWhile it is not traditionally a keyword research tool, Google Suggest is an out-of-the-box style to acquire keyword estimates. With so many free tools to choose from, you are bound to be a keyword professional in no time.
